The dispensary can only supply medicines to the following clients :
1. POM ( VPS ) registered products e.g. horse wormers, to any owner of animals. The owner does not have to be a client of the practices
2. POM (V) registered products e.g. antibiotics , to either :
a. A client of one of the practices
b. A client of another vet if that vet provides the dispensary with a prescription
c. Another veterinary surgeon
d. Another licensed veterinary wholesaler
In order to facilitate the process of writing prescriptions, the Dispensary will provide the prescription partially filled out for the clients vet to sign, thus allowing farmers / owners who do not use the practice to take advantage of the buying power of the overall St David’s group of veterinary practices.
If you are an equine owner , and not a client, there is no need to request a prescription for some products such as wormers, and you only need contact the dispensary for your payment options
